Artist's Comments

This is an overbust corset that has no front opening.

It is slightly pointed at the top and bottom and has ribbon embroidery on the front panel in green and fuchsia satin ribbon.

Once again made (with the last tiny bit) of turquoise silk dupioni. There seems to be none of this left in the entire world because I certainly can't find any more :(

Boned in all of the seams with 7mm spiral steels.

I <3 this corset. I hope you guys do too :)

Wow that fabric went a long way. Which is great because it is beautiful. Very beautiful piece, the embroidery adds such a nice touch. It is wonderfully feminine without being overly girly. My only critique (and this could once again be lighting in the photo) is that there appears to be a little bit of puckering at the side seam. Granted it is not overly noticable and in looking at it more closely looks more like something that could be pressed out. Very well done.

Is this one for you or was it a commission?

Its just a sample. I just had to use up the fabric because it kept looking at me, and I love it so much.

I also noticed that "pucker" in the side seam, but like you said, it pressed out! Lol. I think corsets always look better on a human body, and I really struggled to get it to sit right on the plastic dummy. But then again, I don't know if its me or the pattern but it always seems to look odd just there, on that seam on that side... Never the other side. It must be me.

I have a very similar problem with my dummy. Except for me it's the back seam that never wants to side properly. I think it has to do with the fact that people are generally softer than the dress form. Things just sit better on the human form.
